CVS (Monday)
After leaving Rite Aid disappointed, I jumped across the street to the CVS (there is a Walgreens on the other corner...seems weird this Rite Aid doesn't seem concerned about chasing off customers to the other drugstores).
Just this week I discovered the $5/$25 coupon for taking the Readyfill quiz, so I put together some little deals to get some stuff free, or nearly.
I discovered this CVS still had some Glade stuff - surprisingly! - so I decided to start with that. The deal was also a Money-Maker, which I needed to offset some of my $5/$25 deals.
I couldn't combine the deals because I was using a $4/$20 coupon out of the Readyfill coupon book, and the $5/$25 coupons says it can't be combined with any other money-off-amount coupons, so I didn't try to push my luck.
Transaction #1: (My card)
$2.50 Glade Glass Candle Holder
$2.50 Glade Glass Candle Holder
$2.50 Glade Candle Refill 3pk.
$2.50 Glade Candle Refill 3pk.
$5.00 Glade Sense & Spray
$5.00 Glade Sense & Spray
=20.00
I gave her (1) 4.00/20.00 purchase CVS q, (2) 4.00 off Glade Sense & Spray qs and (2) BOGO Glade Holder/Refill qs.
My total then should have been $3.00 + tax. I had my ECB out ready to pay. But then she's like, this is in the negative...do you want to get something else? I didn't argue because as you know I'm a rotten mathematician, and figured I'd messed something up, as usual. I grabbed a Reeses bar (aggravated that I didn't have a .55 off and BOGO q from this past weeks paper, lol).
I ended up paying .27 total, and got back $6.00 ECBs for the Glades ($3.00 wyb $10). $5.73 profit.
I got out to the car and looked at my receipt and figured out, on the BOGO coupon, instead of subtracting $2.50 for the refills, she took off the regular price of $4.69 each.
Even with the candy, my subtotal was -.88, which applied to the $1.15 tax, taking my total down to .27 oop.
Well, allright! You know I had to go in and do it again! Woulda done it a 3rd time but they didn't have four more of the glass candle holders.
(Don't hate on me, it's a manufacturer q, they'll get reimbursed for it.)
