Rite Aid

Rite was my 1st and last shops, with one thrown in the middle somewhere.

I didn't go with any real plan, not knowing what I would or wouldn't be able to find on sale at this point so late in the week.

The 1st Rite Aid is very coupon friendly so I got my Coppertone Sunblock here, using the $5.00 IP q's without any problem.
Also got the Be Kool and one pack of Duracell batteries.

$11.99 Duracell AA 12pk
$3.99 Be Kool Gel Patch
$11.49 Nutrashield Faces SPF70
$ 0.00 Nutrashield Faces SPF70

- 5.00/$25.00 Rite Aid Q
- 5.00 Duracell in-ad Q
- 1.50 Duracell
- 5.00 Coppertone IP Q
- 5.00 Coppertone IP Q (This Rite Aid took both coupons even though one of the Nutrashields rang up free)
= $3.97 + 1.92 tax = $5.89 oop

SCRs: $3.00 Coppertone, $2.00 Be Kool (and half the Duracell SCR $2.50)
Final: $1.61 profit

The 2nd Rite Aid is also pretty coupon friendly. I used the $1.00 off Renu and Clear Eyes coupons without any beepage even though the items were .99 each.
Also got my other pack of Duracell batteries and Bic Pencils here.
I had also bought 2 Schick Quattro razors, but had overlooked the "For Men" part in the ad, and had gotten women's, which was wrong. They were out of the men's items - duh! - so I got a refund on the women's razors.

$11.99 Duracell AAA 12pk
$ 8.99 Quattro Razor
$ 8.99 Quattro Razor
$ 2.49 Bic 5pk Mechanical Pencil (Supposed to been $1.50?)
$ 2.49 Bic 5pk Mechanical Pencil (Supposed to been $1.50?)

- 4.00 Quattro Razor
- 4.00 Quattro Razor
- 1.50 Duracell
- 1.00/2 Bic Pencils
- 1.00 Clear Eyes (No Beep)
- 1.00 Clear Eyes (No Beep)
- 1.00 Renu (No Beep)
- 1.00 Renu (No Beep)
= $14.41 + 2.3 tax = $16.74 oop (?!?!)

-8.99 Quattro Razor refund
-8.99 Quattro Razor refund
- 1.26 tax
=$19.24 refund
(No hassles about deducting for the coupons I used, since they will still submit and get reimbursed for them.)

SCRs: $5.00 Duracell (total with 1st trans), $2.00 Bic? (Did I get wrong item?)
Final: ? I dunno ? Maybe $7.50 or $9.50 profit ?

The last Rite Aid had the men's Quattro razors....guess I found out why...the register wouldn't accept my coupon for the free one. I was pretty sure it was Rite Aid policy to accept one coupon per item, even on BOGO items, but maybe I'm wrong. Even if I am wrong, they need to change their policy because that's stupid and only hurts them in the end.
Tonight they could have sold 2 razors and 2 refills for a total of $22.38. I would have paid $6.38, and the coupons would have paid $16.00, and they would have made that sale. But since they wouldn't accept two of my manu. coupons, I got a refund on the refills and didn't buy them. I shouldn't have bought the razors, either, and the more I think about it, the more I think I'm probably going to take them back anyway, because of the principle of the thing.

I didn't get the Renuzit Crystals or the wall clock I had wanted to get, because I'd wanted to be able to buy them with more razors and use my $5/$20 coupons. But they messed me up on the razors, so they didn't get those sales either.

$10.99 Quattro Titanium Razor
$ 0.00 Quattro Titanium Razor
$11.39 Titanium Refill
$ 0.00 Titanium Refill
$ 3.99 Pert for Men
- 5.00/$20 Rite Aid Q
- 1.50 Pert for Men
- 4.00 Quattro
- 4.00 Quattro
= $11.87 + 1.50 tax = $13.37 oop

Then I decided to return the refills. He deducted for the $4.00 coupon and gave me a refund of $7.39 + .52 tax = $7.91 refund.

I asked him why only $7.39, and he said for the coupon I used. Yet he wasn't going to return my coupon until I asked for it.

SCR: $2.00 Pert
Final: I think he cost me $3.46
